Black Dirt Players is a small group of former and current Black Dirt Theater artists working collaboratively to explore new and more mature theatrical content. Our first year has been an experiment to determine the type of work we would like to focus on and how to approach it. Our plans for the 2016-2017 season include performing one scripted show and one experimental show (monologues, scenes, original work, improv, etc.). We have been working on a full-length original piece that may be performed as a staged reading at the end of the season. We will also be applying for the Fringe Festival in the summer.
2016-2017 Players:

Caitlin Weber

The location will be announced soon!
Join us on Friday, November 18th at 7:00 PM for the introduction of Black Dirt Players, a collective of 10 theater artists committed to inspired creativity, trusting collaboration and rigorous exploration. We will create theater in all aspects through writing, directing, acting and production; continuing our education through participating in workshops and mentoring.
We are excited for you to see samples of the work we are planning for our inaugural season, including a scene from our first original work, Ice Shanty #3 by Rob Andersen.
Refreshments will also be available.
Mature Content will be presented.
Black Dirt Players is a collective of ten theater artists dedicated to rigorous exploration, education and presentation of works both original and published. We are a subset of Black Dirt Theater, which is acting as our fiscal sponsor.
